| Associate Professorship in Design & Digital Communication The IT University of Copenhagen invites applications for a tenured position as associate professor in Design & Digital Communication. The IT University is seeking a candidate within innovation of digital communication, new media design and/or creative content production. A keen interest in emerging technologies is required. The successful candidate must document internationally recognized research and show a strong theoretical profile on an academic basis within one or several areas, including the arts, performance studies, architecture & design, arts history, interaction design, mobility, Human Computer Interaction (HCI), computer science and informatics. The candidate must be able to cooperate with companies, institutions, students and colleagues. The associate professor will contribute to graduate and to under-graduate teaching. The topics may vary within subjects such as interaction design, digital aesthetics, design methods, HCI, creative concept development, usability, digital culture studies, new media development, mobility and others. The applicant must be prepared to teach within new subject areas in accordance with the development of the study programmes of the university. Half of the working hours are expected to be dedicated to teaching activities, the other half to research. The associate professor will be expected to actively seek external funding for research, to establish relations with companies, creative art and new media institutions and be capable of, and prepared to supervise Ph.D. students. Further, the associate professor should actively take part in developing the Innovative Communication Group. The Innovative Communication group currently consists of 12 people including four assistant professors, 4 associate professors, and four Ph.D. students.
